Bulthaup Winchester, a Michelin starred chef and the new Audi 8

A car showroom is not the first place you look to find an iconic kitchen workbench and a Michelin star chef! But when West London Audi launched their new top of the range Audi 8 on 20th  May they brought in another of the best in German technology and engineering.

Bulthaup Winchester took a b2 workbench, complete with a sink and hob to the Audi showroom for the use of chef Alan Murchison. Alan’s fame and Michelin star creativity has spread beyond his restaurants in Reading, Ludlow  and Woburn, partly due to his appearance in the finals of the BBC’s Great British Menu Series.

Alan loves the contemporary look and pure function of Bulthaup. He has a Bulthaup demonstration kitchen studio at his L’ortolan restaurant near Reading, where customers can learn new techniques in inspirational surroundings.

On May 20th a select group of Audi customers were able to watch Alan prepare a lamb dish and a bream dish at the Bulthaup workbench – both beautifully finished and looking almost too good to eat!

They also enjoyed excellent German wine and , of course, the unveiling of the superb Audi 8!
