Mertz are masters at eliminating kitchen odours, and their latest state-of-the art F85 extractor is a true problem solver. For homeowners of certain listed properties, those with very high or low ceilings, or a dislike of dominant ceiling mounted appliances, the F85 is a discreet and effective answer to removing cooking smells and moisture.
Particularly useful for peninsula kitchen designs, the F85 is a 90 cm countertop-mounted cooker hood with a distinctive angular shape in sleek glass and stainless steel.
But the beauty of this design is that it can be ducted via its central column and base cupboards to an outside wall. As the position of the hood is fixed above the hob, there is no complicated rise and fall mechanism, and the extraction is extremely efficient.
The F85 boasts a host of features including four speeds with a top extraction capacity of 600 m3 per hour, and an intelligent heat sensor which starts extraction automatically when required. Light is provided by two integral 4W LED lights and the touch controls incorporate a 5, 10 and 15 minute timer. It has a maximum noise level of 62 dB at full speed.
Washable stainless steel grease filters are included as standard for ducted installations, however the F85 can also be used in recirculation mode without the need for ducting.
As with all Mertz appliances, the F85 is European-made and carries a 3-year parts and labour warranty.
