Exclusive Marc Newson for Smeg designs arrive at John Lewis

Available from today, John Lewis is excited to announce the arrival of the striking Marc Newson for Smeg designs, which will be exclusive to John Lewis until the end of September 2010.

The collection comprises of stunning ovens and hobs in a range of eye-catching colours, including Vetro Nero (black), Giallo (yellow), Verde (green) and Blu (blue).

Australian born designer Marc Newson’s aesthetic vision and uncompromising originality has won him international acclaim. Having worked across a wide range of disciplines to create everything from chairs, household objects, restaurants, a recording studio and the interiors of private and commercial jets, this is the first time Marc has designed domestic appliances.

With its stunning design and touch controls this oven will bring the wow factor to your kitchen. Its quadruple-glazed doors keeps the exterior door cool enough to touch while you’re cooking and you can remove the inner glass for easier cleaning. The oven benefits from 10 cooking functions and has pyrolytic cleaning that destroys all the dirt deposits at 500°C, so you can simply wipe out the interior when the oven cools down.
