First full surface induction cooktop CX 480 from Gaggenau – For the ultimate in cooking convenience and flexibility
With the arrival of the company’s new full surface induction cooktop model CX 480, built in appliance specialist Gaggenau introduces a new cooktop concept to the market. For the first time, the entire surface of the cooktop is one large cooking area. The intuitive controls are operated by an extra-large flat panel TFT touch display situated at the front of the appliance.
The full surface induction cooktop CX 480 allows cookware of any size and shape to be placed anywhere on its surface. Up to four pots and pans can be used simultaneously. The cooktop automatically recognises the presence of a pan and heat is only generated where the cookware is detected. Should the pan be moved away, the cooktop registers its new position and automatically carries on heating it up at the same temperature.
“Under the glass ceramic surface of the new full surface induction cooktop model CX 480 , there is a closely-spaced, staggered configuration of 48 micro-inductors. Unlike conventional large induction coils, this structure transforms the entire cooktop into one large flexible cooking area”, explains Simon Plumbridge, Senior Product Manager at Gaggenau.
Intuitive controls
The cooktop is operated by an extra-large flat panel TFT touch display that indicates the shape, size and position of the cookware. Cooking zones and heat settings are selected at the touch of a fingertip and an information key provides the user with additional operating instructions. The new induction cooktop model CX 480 can also be converted into a Teppan Yaki using the Teppan Yaki plate from the versatile Gastronorm accessory range.
With this new and innovative full surface induction cooktop, Gaggenau once again provides enthusiastic home cooks with added scope to pursue their culinary aspirations and underlines the company’s claim to leadership in technology and design.
