Fisher & Paykel Appliances appearing on MasterChef New Zealand

MasterChef New Zealand has come to your screen. Watch it every weekday at 7pm on Sky Channel 109 or Virgin Media 124.

Last year MasterChef made it to New Zealand and now it has come to your screen. Watch 1,000 hopefuls compete and put their cooking skills to the test.

The ingredients they use are kept fresh in Fisher & Paykel’s Three Door Refrigerator RF540ADUX1 whilst all the cooking is done on Fisher & Paykel’s gas hob CG905CWACX1 and pyrolytic ovens.

Refrigerator RF540ADUX1 is a large 90cm fridge freezer with ice & water facilities. The Active Smart™ technology ensures food is kept fresher for longer. Fruit & vegetables are kept in their optimum condition in the humidity controlled crisper bins.

Gas hob CG905CWACX1 comes with Innovalve™ technology which provides 180 degree rotation of the controls – most hobs only offer 70 degree rotation. In addition with a powerful 5.5kW wok burner and a 0.2kW auxiliary burner, this hob will ensure that recipes are cooked to perfection.

The UK equivalent model of the pyrolytic ovens used is OB60S9EPX1. This brand new, top of the range oven has 9 cooking functions including a roast feature. The intuitive controls of these ovens provide pre-set cooking temperatures as well as glowing halos: red means heating up while they will turn white when the temperature has been reached. At the same time the display screen will show the preselected temperature and the current temperature until the oven is fully heated. This gives a stylish indication of the oven’s activities but also ensures safety from a distance. The control panel on both models can be locked whilst pyro mode also locks the oven door. During the self-cleaning cycle the catalytic smoke eliminator maintains cooking aromas whilst smoke and odours are minimized. This system enhances the cooking and cleaning performance of the pyrolytic oven.
