Fridge Essentials from Sub-Zero Appliances

We all know it’s smart to keep our fridges stocked up with some basic food essentials such as eggs and cheese, making sure we’re able to whip up a quick meal or two when time is tight.

With technology initially developed by NASA to aid food preservation including an air-purification system to eliminate bacteria, odours and ethylene gas, Sub-Zero refrigeration ensures your fridge essentials stay fresher and taste better for longer. So, now there’s no excuse for dull, plain omelettes – with a refrigerator that’s always full of fresh, exciting essentials, you can create a culinary delight any night of the week.

One of the most important things to consider when storing your fridge essentials is to protect fresh produce from ethylene gas, which speeds up the ripening process of food. Some fruits and vegetables produce this gas as they ripen, whilst others are sensitive to this gas which leads to increased spoilage.

With this in mind, the Sub-Zero Built-In range includes the unique ‘Air Purification System’, removing ethylene gas, as well as odours and bacteria. This is in addition to Sub-Zero’s Dual Compressor system which employs two separate compressors working independently of one another, to ensure optimum temperature and humidity are maintained in the fridge and freezer at all times. The Built-In range also includes helpful ‘Freshness Cards’, discreetly stored within the fridge. The ‘Freshness Cards’ provide simple, colour-coded guidelines, to clearly illustrate the ideal section of your Sub-Zero to store your essentials; ensuring a longer shelf-life.

The Built-In range also offers a High Humidity Compartment, allowing you to store fruits and vegetables one degree Celsius cooler, than the main refrigerator unit, thereby increasing the life of your fresh produce even further.
