Go with the flow – FloatingSpaces is a new design concept from SieMatic
Leading German furniture manufacturer SieMatic embraces the kitchen as the heart of the home with its brand new design concept – FloatingSpaces, which seamlessly flows the kitchen to the living area.
This innovative design features a panel system, which comes in a multitude of materials, such as natural woods and finishes including matt or gloss lacquer and high-quality laminate. The panels, which flow seamlessly throughout the space, are complemented by the shelves, which are available in different lengths, sizes, materials and finishes. Meanwhile, the matt aluminium shelf elements enable you to move your shelving around to suit your individual needs – every element easily clicks into place between each panel at regular distances apart.
This design concept is demonstrated perfectly in SieMatic’s SE4004, which is priced around £25,000. Bright Lotus White wall panels in the SE4004 contrast against dark shelves, which emphasize their asymmetric arrangement in this kitchen. The shelving and tall cabinets in black-brown gloss lacquer blend in perfectly with the composite stone, Merope Matt, countertop to complete the look.
UK Managing Director, Bernard Otulakowski says: “Today, the kitchen is a place for the family to meet and entertain guests. Therefore, we have seen a huge rise in open-plan kitchens where key design features, such as FloatingSpaces, take centre stage to create near complete integration of the kitchen within the living area with stunning results.”
