Gorenje designed by Karim Rashid collection shortlisted in prestigious Design Awards

Gorenje, the Slovenian manufacturer famous for its creative and innovative appliances, is delighted its stunning Gorenje designed by Karim Rashid collection has been shortlisted in the prestigious Design et al International Design and Architecture Awards 2011.

The awards are judged online by industry professionals, readers and the general public, and recognise the best in interior design, architecture and innovation from around the world. Their aim is to inspire, create opportunities, recognise talent and celebrate the best in design. The Gorenje designed by Karim Rashid collection has been shortlisted in the Interior Design – Kitchen Appliances section.

The Gorenje designed by Karim Rashid collection has generated extensive interest since its launch and has already won gold at the 2010 Design Awards. The range includes ovens, hoods and hobs, and melds the sensuous minimalism Karim Rashid is renowned for with the innovative technology Gorenje is famous for. The ovens and hoods feature MoodLite technology, a strip of coloured LED lights the consumer can change to match their mood or the occasion.
