Kbb trade show birmingham to give philippe starck kitchen industry
KBB Birmingham is to be the first industry wide showing of a new kitchen designed by acclaimed designer Philippe Starck. ‘Starck by Warendorf, which features Parisian baroque detailing and mirrored glass on door fronts, will be exhibited by Warendorf, previously known as Miele Kitchens
Other companies recently confirmed as exhibiting at the show include April Bathrooms Products, C.R. Laurence, Dallmer, Ebor, International Bathrooms, Luxair, Mountway, Steel Cuisine, Stone/ CaesarStone and CIEC. They will appear alongside the likes of Abode, CDA, Coram Showers, Cosentino, Crosswater, Croydex, De Dietrich/ Fagorbrandt, Eco Bathrooms, Grohe, Hepplewhite, Hettich UK, HIB, Küppersbusch/Teka, Laufen, Matki, Pegler, Planit, Poggenpohl, Reginox, Roca, Roman, Springwell Doors, Svedbergs, William Ball and Q X Bathroom Products. A number of exhibitors have also recently increased the size of their stands, these include TC, Rangemaster and Carron Phoenix.
The event will feature two seminar programmes, one designed by the CIPHE for anyone involved in or looking to expand into the heating and plumbing sector. Newly confirmed speakers for this programme include Paul Taylor of WRc-NSF and Fiona Keates of The Environmental Agency.
The main seminar programme will feature speakers such as Henrik Otto, Vice President of Global Design of Electolux, Paolo Pininfarina of Pininfarina Extra and award-winning bathroom designer Robin Levien, RDI of Studio Levien. Victoria Redshaw of Scarlet Opus will present the key design trends for the coming months.
The finalists and winner of an international competition ran by Electrolux will also feature at kbb Birmingham 2010. This year’s Design Lab competition was won by Rickard Hederstierna, a student at the Lund Institute of Technology in Sweden. His design, ‘Cocoon’, is a fish and meat maker that prepares genetically engineered and pre-packaged meat and fish. This product, and the seven other finalists, will receive their first dedicated kbb showing at the event.
kbb Birmingham is now entering its 25th year. The event, the only dedicated kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms and exhibition of next year, will take place at the NEC from 21-24 March 2010.
