New additions to the Barazza Appliances touch-screen Velvet family
Following the success of the touch-screen Velvet oven, Barazza have extended the Velvet family to include a matching lift-up door for concealment of a microwave oven and a stainless steel version of the oven, with handle.![]()
The new stainless steel version of the Velvet is available in three door openings: drop-down, left-side hinged and right-side hinged. Although opening with a handle, the oven’s other functions are controllable by the full-colour touch-screen panel. As with the original Velvet, there are a number of automatic controls allowing the user to choose a pre-set food or dish from the oven’s menu which then takes care of cooking method, temperature and timings. Alongside these standardised settings, the oven can be programmed manually; cooking type, temperature, cooking time, cooking end time and temperature probe settings are set by the user. These manually set parameters can be changed at any time during cooking. When the cooking is finished the user is asked if they would like to store the cooking procedure, including any of the changes made (for example, a change of temperature during the process) for future use at the touch of a button; there is an option to save up to 36 of these personalised recipes so there is never the need to look up timings and temperatures again for favourite dishes. The Velvet is updatable by USB and has internal self-diagnostics.
The second addition to the Velvet family, the new lift-up door, is designed with minimalist styling to complement the clean lines of the Velvet oven. Hinged so that it glides smoothly up, the lift-up door comes in four finishes, black, mirror, white and stainless steel to match the finish of the existing Velvet oven itself.
