New induction from Rangemaster Appliances – The future of family cooking

Rangemaster is proud to announce the introduction of a new generation of induction technology to its wide collection of contemporary and traditional range cooker designs.

Customer demand for induction is on the rise: sales of induction range cookers increased by 47% from 2009-2010. Rangemaster is leading the way in the range cooker market by upgrading its induction technology to ensure that customers can combine the latest technology with the look and feel of  a stylish range cooker design.

Heralded as the future of the kitchen, induction cooking is safe, efficient, responsive and controllable.

For a family kitchen, induction offers a host of safety features. There are no naked flames, and as the heat is conducted directly within the pan the surface remains considerably cooler than a conventional hob – any residual heat is indicated by a red light. The sensitive induction hob will monitor if a pan is going to boil dry and automatically switch off, and it also features an essential child lock.

Induction has also been celebrated as a triumphant progress in eco-concious cooking. Proven to be 86% more efficient than gas and 50% more energy efficient than halogen, by cooking on induction three times per day, you can save enough energy to run two low-energy light bulbs for five hours.

The newly upgraded Rangemaster induction technology boasts increased cooking flexibility – with five power zones, each offering 1-9 heat settings plus a unique ‘boost’ function to increase power at the touch of a button for great controllability and faster cooking times. The maximum power for each zone reaches a far higher temperature than the current system, with up to 3kW more energy powering it.

For intuitive cooking the, Rangemaster has also introduced two pre-set power levels. L1 is set to 40°c to start the cooking process for various sauces and gently melt foods such as butter, chocolate and cream cheese. L2 is the ‘Optimum Simmer’ setting – programmed to 90°c, it will create a perfect simmer for vegetables, pasta and rice. On special occasions, it is the ideal setting for making mulled wine!

Another new function is the ‘Auto Switch Off’, which will cut power to the hob if it has been on and untouched for more than two hours.

The first three models to feature this new technology are the Classic Deluxe 100, Professional + 100 and Professional + FX, all available now. The existing 90cm and 110cm induction models will benefit from this new technology before the end of 2011.

With a wide range of designs, widths and colours available to suit any size or style of kitchen, Rangemaster induction range cookers are the essential ingredient of the modern home.
