The new Neff D39M55 extractor hood wins design award 2011

Built in appliance brand leader Neff has cause to celebrate once again with the news that the company has just won a coveted Red Dot Design

The D39M55 is a brand new 90cm wide canopy hood in an attractive stainless steel finish with a bevelled glass fascia panel. For wall mounted installation, this new hood boasts an eye catching angled design for easier access to the hob below.

Thanks to its aerodynamically sculpted interior and high capacity fan for optimum extraction, this elegant model is applauded not only for its good looks but also for its impressive performance.

For instance, lighting is very well thought out on the D39M55, with a 7 segment LED display and three low energy halogen lamps to provide outstanding illumination for the extra wide hob below.

And, at only 40 decibels, this is the quietest model in the Neff collection. It is also one of the quietest currently on the market as it measures the same low sound level as a library!

Suitable for ducted extraction or recirculation, the D39M55 boasts a maximum extraction rate of 420m3/h and 3 speeds plus intensive. An automatic revert setting ensures that all cooking odours are removed even after the appliance is switched off.

The criteria against which the international red dot design award is judged include environmental factors such as power consumption and noise levels. Not surprisingly, this elegant new hood scored highly on all these counts to win a prestigious ‘Best of the Best’ award in the 2011 Red Dot Design Competition.
