The Triflow Quadro System steals the show at 100% Design for Triflow Concepets

Triflow Concepts, the leading UK brassware manufacturer, stole the show once again at this year’s 100% Design with its latest innovation: The Triflow Quadro System.

The Triflow Quadro builds on the existing, patented Triflow system with the introduction of instant hot, filtered water heated to 98°C, all from a single appliance. Like all Triflow Systems, filtered water is delivered through a dedicated tube in the spout, to avoid cross-contamination. The Quadro incorporates a high performance Swiss-made ceramic filter cartridge which leaves all beneficial minerals such as calcium, magnesium and fluoride intact, while eliminating the harmful chemicals and bacteria found in ordinary tap water.

Designed with the urban environmentalist in mind, the Quadro System makes the kettle and bottled water a thing of the past. It comes in a range of cutting edge designs but will also be available in a number of existing Triflow taps; including the award-winning Zaha Hadid version.

The stunning Triflow Quadro designed by Zaha Hadid was the focal point of the stand. Displayed on a custom made marble island, the eye-catching appliance amazed visitors with its seamless trajectory of curvilinear geometries expressing the continuous flow of liquid and its supreme functionality rolled into one.

Hidden within the Zaha Hadid design is a highly sophisticated manufacturing process that has never before been used for a tap. The revolutionary shape employs the latest methods of production and a unique ceramic coring process, resulting in a tap that is as much a piece of art as it is a kitchen or bathroom appliance.

Zaha Hadid’s designs as well as other products in the Quadro range are available in different finishes including chrome, pewter, nickel and gold. New for 2010/2011 are brushed gold & black chrome.

100% Design also saw the unveiling of the new Perrin & Rowe System. Extending its legacy of innovation, Triflow Concepts have now integrated its filtration technology into the Perrin & Rowe range of products for the bathroom. The range incorporates the same high performance, Swiss made filter cartridge as the Triflow System, resulting in the ultimate convenience: fresh, refined water in the bathroom.

With ever-increasing production and transportation costs associated with the consumption of disposable drinks bottles and landfills nearing maximum capacity, Triflow Concepts encourages a healthy and sustainable hydration solution with minimal carbon footprint. Triflow products give consumers the opportunity to go Back to Tap without compromising on style, convenience or water quality. The System does all this without any negative impact or damage to the wider environment.

The final highlight of the show was the culmination of the second annual Triflow Future Talents competition. A competition that supports emerging design talent, encouraging students and designers alike to submit ideas for a pioneering new kitchen or bathroom tap or accessory. The five entries, shortlisted by a prestigious panel of judges, were displayed on the Triflow Concepts stand during 100% Design and visitors were given the opportunity to vote for their favourite design.

All five designs generated a wealth of interest and received very positive feedback but with 30% of the total votes, Sammy Bikoulis ‘Primary’. Sammy will be awarded a £1500 cash prize and his design will be taken into production by Triflow Concepts.
